Images that depict moments are called stills. The word signifies standing still, but also continuation. In a way the immobility of a still life is eternal, yet each combination can be assembled only once. History is seen from the future. Is time beautiful?

STILL is a collection-like room that examines the aesthetics of experiencing time, displays and assemblages, as well as the visual context of the historical.

The exhibition showcases collages created by images and objects by reassembling portions of Now Is Always - a project created in the Bakery house at Brinkhall Manor on the Kakskerta Island during summer 2016 - as well as bringing in new site-specific installations.
